We are accelerators
Our team discovers, validates, implements and supports technologies that meet our stakeholders’ needs. We strive to support faculty in delivering knowledge to online students in efficient, engaging and effective ways, using the latest technologies.
How we work
We discover and develop new technologies in the online learning space, and then collaborate with you to implement tools that bring value to your courses. Your objective as an instructor remains constant, but technology changes. Our goal is to help you integrate these new tools into your courses and improve student outcomes.
At a high level, we serve stakeholders through the following value cycle:
We discover value by uncovering the right problems to solve.
We define value by setting a direction to address identified problems.
We design useful solutions.
We deploy solutions in a thoughtful business model.
A closer look at our technology evaluation and implementation framework
-
Needs discovery
We conduct research and provide documentation on the user needs in online courses through interviews, validation surveys and more.
-
Product discovery
We research, consider and document products in the market that address identified needs.
-
Product selection
We matchmake. Through collaboration with instructional designers and instructors, we make recommendations for the products that best address user needs and opportunities in online courses.
-
Implementation and evaluation
Selective and contained pilots with early adopters validate the need of a product.
-
Scaling and support
Successful pilots allow us to create wider support structures for evangelizing the products. As more instructors adopt use of the products, they become part of the online learning toolbelt.
Our areas of focus
Information security
Our team works with Enterprise Technology (ET) to complete the ISO Security Review for all third-party learning tools. We’re committed to ensuring the privacy and security of student and instructor data as we explore new learning enhancement products, tools and services.
Learner experience research
We validate learning solutions with a user-centered approach. We consider instructors, students and instructional designers to be the primary stakeholders of our product portfolio. We find insight in learning products through qualitative and quantitative data.
Product implementation and scaling
We conduct selective and contained product pilots to validate the need of a product. We work with vendors, instructional designers, ET and users to promote adoption and usage in ASU Online courses.
Instructional design support
We support instructional designers by gathering resources, encouraging product adoption, providing high-level product support and collaborating on strategic learning initiatives. We work with ET to provide additional learning management system (LMS) support.
